Anee Shah is a Massachusetts based fine artist. She grew up in India before moving to Boston for her Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Upon graduation with a thesis, she moved on to the corporate biotech world. As the sense of unfulfillment grew, she left her decade long cushy job to pursue her creative interests and stay home with her two littles - all this right before the world changed in 2020.

She started Anee Rabbit that summer and went on to license her work for apparel, baby goods, kitchenware and more. In 2023, she decided to pivot to fine art to follow her ultimate joy of putting paint on canvas.

Anee is self-taught in art and in business. She gardens and lives in the suburbs of Boston with her family.

why Anee Rabbit!?

Anee (pronounced as uh+nee) rhymes with bunny and that’s how the name Anee Rabbit landed! In many cultures, the rabbit is a symbol of creativity and good luck and is also associated with magic and mischief (how fitting!).
