Do You Create A Vision Board?

Setting goals can be daunting.
Do you aim too high or within reach. Maybe you cannot think that far in the future. Maybe you like to keep things fluid and set goals based on seasons of life and not by a calendar date.

I get it. I do set goals but I also like to keep them fluid.
However, one thing I like to do is create a vision board. I first made a vision board when I started my business in 2020 and this year I updated it.

What is a vision board, you ask?

It is a set of images or words/phrases that reflect the life you want to live. It’s not a goal, it’s more like your deepest desires on paper. It’s a feeling. For example, on my personal vision board, I have put down big family meals with lots of good food and cheer!

So think about how you want this year (or the next few years) to look like. Go on pinterest or google images or sketch your own and make a board with all that you’d like for yourself and work towards it. It is not magic, you got to put in the work. So continuing the example above, I’d make an effort to cook meals together as a family, bring out the fancy dishes more often, set the table and light more cozy candles, invite family over more often. Hang/stick this collage of images where you see it daily. Keep it as your phone or computer wallpaper or print it out and hang it near your desk.

There’s something about writing your dreams on paper
There’s something about seeing your dream house, dream collab, dream self on paper
There’s something about speaking out loud all that you want to achieve
Might sound woo-woo but do it everyday like you brush your teeth! I had a hard time putting it into practice (admittedly I found it a little absurd) but I have started to have faith in it cause believe it or not, most of my licensing collaborations have been with companies on my vision board!

Is this something you do? What kind of goal setting system do you have? Do share!
